Frequently Asked Questions

Why are paths better than text in SVGs for cutting?

Cutting machines (Cricut, Silhouette, laser cutters) need vector paths to follow. SVG <text> elements require the font to be installed on the machine, which cutting software often doesn't support. Our tool converts text to <path> outlines, so the design looks the same on any machine without needing the font.

What fonts are available?

We offer 18 curated fonts from Google Fonts, all free for commercial use: 6 script/handwriting fonts (Great Vibes, Dancing Script, Pacifico, Sacramento, Alex Brush, Satisfy), 4 serifs (Playfair Display, Merriweather, Lora, Cinzel), 4 sans-serifs (Montserrat, Oswald, Bebas Neue, Raleway), and 4 display fonts (Lobster, Abril Fatface, Righteous, Permanent Marker).

Can I use these SVGs commercially?

Yes. All fonts are from Google Fonts and licensed under the SIL Open Font License, which allows commercial use including selling vinyl decals, shirts, and other products.

Is my text sent to a server?

The font file is downloaded from Google Fonts, but all text-to-path conversion happens in your browser. Your text content is never sent to any server.

Can I do multi-line text?

Yes! Press Enter in the text box to add lines. Adjust line height with the slider for the perfect spacing between lines.
