Sublimation & DTF Tool

Mirror & Bleed Tool

Mirror your SVG designs for sublimation and DTF printing. Add bleed margins, set custom sizes, and download print-ready files — all free, all in your browser.

How It Works

1

Upload SVG

Drop your SVG design file. Works with any SVG from Illustrator, Inkscape, Canva, or VectoSolve.

2

Mirror

Toggle horizontal flip for sublimation. The tool applies actual coordinate transforms — not just CSS.

3

Add Bleed

Slide to add 0-10mm bleed around your design. Prevents white edges on the final product.

4

Download

Get your mirrored, bleed-extended SVG ready for sublimation paper or DTF film printing.

Built for Sublimation & DTF Printing

True SVG Mirror

Applies coordinate-level transforms (scale + translate), not CSS flips. Your RIP software and printer see the actual mirrored geometry.

Adjustable Bleed

Add 0-10mm bleed to prevent white edges during heat pressing. Essential for mugs, tumblers, and all-over prints.

Print-Size Control

Set exact output dimensions in inches, cm, or mm. Match your sublimation blank perfectly.

100% Client-Side

Your files never leave your browser. No upload, no server, no waiting. Instant processing on any device.

Color & Ink Analysis

See color count and approximate ink coverage before printing. Helps estimate ink costs and spot potential issues.

Vector Quality

SVG output preserves perfect sharpness at any print size — no pixelation, no quality loss, no matter how large.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to mirror my image for sublimation?+
Sublimation printing transfers ink from paper to a substrate (mug, shirt, etc.) using heat and pressure. During this transfer, the image flips — like a stamp. If you don't mirror your design before printing, text will appear backwards and the design will be reversed on the final product.
Do I need to mirror for DTF (Direct to Film) printing?+
Yes. DTF printing also involves a transfer step — the design is printed on a film, then heat-pressed onto the garment. Just like sublimation, the image flips during transfer, so you must mirror your artwork before printing the film.
What is bleed and why do I need it?+
Bleed is an extra margin of design that extends beyond the final trim or print area. For sublimation, bleed ensures there are no white edges if the transfer shifts slightly during pressing. A 2-3mm bleed is standard for most sublimation products; mugs and all-over prints may need 5-10mm.
How much bleed should I add for sublimation?+
For flat items like mouse pads and coasters, 2-3mm bleed is usually enough. For mugs and tumblers, use 3-5mm. For all-over shirt prints or items with curved surfaces, 5-10mm provides safe coverage. This tool lets you add up to 10mm.
Does this tool modify my original SVG file?+
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your SVG file is never uploaded to any server. The mirror and bleed transforms are applied to a copy, and you download the modified version. Your original file stays untouched.
Can I use this tool with PNG or JPG files?+
This tool is designed for SVG files to preserve perfect vector quality at any print size. If you have a PNG or JPG, first convert it to SVG using our PNG to SVG converter, then use this mirror and bleed tool to prepare it for sublimation or DTF printing.
