FAQ
What is a sticker cut line?
The cut line (or die-cut contour) is the path a cutting machine follows around your printed design — usually offset 2-3mm from the artwork so small cutting inaccuracies never clip the design. Print services often call it a CutContour layer.
What does my image need?
A transparent background — the cut line follows the transparency edge. If your design still has a background, remove it first (our background remover does it in one click), then come back.
Does it handle holes in my design?
Intentionally, no: a die-cut sticker is cut on the outer contour only, so enclosed holes are bridged — exactly how commercial sticker cutters work. Separate elements get their own contours unless the offset is large enough to merge them.
What machines and software accept the output?
The Print & Cut SVG (your image + a magenta contour path) works with Cricut Design Space print-then-cut, Silhouette Studio, and most plotter software. The cut-line-only SVG suits workflows where the print file and cut file are separate.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The contour tracing runs entirely in your browser.
