Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about VectoSolve, PNG to SVG conversion, pricing, and more.

General Questions

What is VectoSolve?

VectoSolve is an AI-powered online tool that converts raster images (PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, HEIC) into scalable vector graphics (SVG, DXF, EPS, PDF). The AI traces edges with 98% accuracy and produces clean vectors in 2-5 seconds. Rated 4.9/5 by 1,200+ users. No software installation — works in any modern browser.

How does PNG to SVG conversion work?

VectoSolve's AI analyzes your image, detects edges and colors, then generates optimized Bézier curves (mathematical paths). The result is an SVG that scales from 16 px icons to 10-meter billboards without quality loss. The output SVG averages 60-80% smaller than the source PNG for graphics. Processing takes 2-5 seconds.

Is VectoSolve free to use?

Yes — VectoSolve offers 1 free conversion with no signup required. Premium credit packs start at $0.33/conversion (3 credits for $1). New users get 50% off their first purchase automatically. Credits never expire. Subscription plans are available from $4/month for 30 conversions.

Do I need to install any software?

No installation required. VectoSolve runs entirely in your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Files are processed on secure servers and auto-deleted after 24 hours. Supports uploads up to 10 MB (4000×4000 px). Works on desktop and mobile.

File Formats

What image formats can I convert?

VectoSolve accepts 6+ input formats: PNG, JPG/JPEG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, and HEIC (iPhone photos). It also imports vector formats like AI, EPS, PSD, PDF, and TIFF for format conversion. All can be converted to SVG, DXF, EPS, PDF, AI, GIF, or WebP output.

What output formats are available?

Primary output is SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) — the universal web standard. Additional outputs: DXF for CNC/laser cutting, EPS for commercial printing (CMYK), PDF for documents, AI for Adobe Illustrator. Raster exports (GIF, WebP) are also available for specific use cases.

What is the maximum file size I can upload?

Maximum file size is 10 MB with dimensions up to 4000×4000 pixels. Minimum recommended is 100×100 px for usable vectorization. Higher resolution sources produce cleaner vectors. Batch mode (Pro/Unlimited plans) handles up to 50 files at once.

Can I convert transparent PNG files?

Yes — VectoSolve preserves PNG transparency and traces only the visible artwork. It also offers automatic background removal during conversion. Works with transparent PNGs, layered PSD files, and images with alpha channels.

Conversion Quality

How good is the conversion quality?

VectoSolve achieves 98% edge accuracy on logos, icons, and graphics. The AI produces clean Bézier paths optimized for scalability. Output SVGs are production-ready for print (business cards to billboards), web, and cutting machines (Cricut, Silhouette). Rated 4.9/5 by 1,200+ users.

What types of images work best?

Logos, icons, and line art convert with 98% edge accuracy. Illustrations and clipart also produce excellent results. Photos are simplified into poster-style vector art. For best results: high-contrast images, minimum 100×100 px, PNG or JPG format. Supports transparent backgrounds.

Can I edit the SVG after conversion?

Yes — VectoSolve outputs standard SVG 1.1 files, fully editable in Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Canva, Inkscape (free), Affinity Designer, and any web browser. Modify colors, resize paths, adjust nodes, or combine with other elements. SVGs also support CSS styling for web use.

Will my converted SVG be pixelated?

Never. SVG files use mathematical paths (Bézier curves) instead of pixels. They render at the resolution of the display device — crisp on 4K monitors, Retina screens, and print at 300+ DPI. A single SVG scales from 16×16 favicons to 10-meter banners with zero quality loss.

Pricing & Credits

How does the credit system work?

Each conversion uses 1 credit. Credit packs never expire: 3 credits for $1 ($0.33/each), 20 for $4 ($0.20/each), 50 for $9 ($0.18/each), 120 for $19 ($0.16/each), or 250 for $39 ($0.16/each). Subscriptions: $4/month for 30 credits, $9/month for 100. Larger packs save up to 52% per conversion.

Do credits expire?

No — credit packs never expire. Buy once, use whenever you need. Subscription credits renew monthly. Unused subscription credits roll over for 1 month. Your balance is visible on your dashboard at all times.

Is there a first-purchase discount?

Yes — new customers receive 50% off their first credit pack purchase automatically. No promo code needed. This applies to any pack size, making the best deal $0.08/conversion on the 250-credit pack. The discount is applied at checkout instantly.

Can I get a refund?

Due to the digital nature of the service, refunds are not available on used credits. For technical issues, contact support@vectosolve.com — we resolve problems within 24 hours and can credit your account if conversions fail due to a platform error.

Technical Questions

How long does conversion take?

Most conversions complete in 2-5 seconds. Large or complex images (close to 10 MB / 4000×4000 px) may take up to 10 seconds. Batch processing of 50 files typically finishes in under 3 minutes. No queuing — each conversion starts immediately upon upload.

Is there an API available?

A REST API for developers and businesses is in development. It will support bulk conversions, format selection, and webhook callbacks. Contact contact@vectosolve.com for early access or enterprise pricing for high-volume needs (1,000+ conversions/month).

Can I convert multiple images at once?

Yes — Pro and Unlimited plans include batch mode for up to 50 files at once. Upload a folder of PNGs or JPGs and download all SVGs in a ZIP archive. Each file is processed in parallel, typically completing a full batch in under 3 minutes.

What browsers are supported?

VectoSolve works on all modern browsers: Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 15+, Edge 90+, and their mobile versions. Requires JavaScript enabled. Supports drag-and-drop upload on desktop and camera upload on mobile devices.

Yes — all uploads are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256). Images are processed on secure servers in the EU/US and automatically deleted after 24 hours. VectoSolve never shares or sells user files. GDPR compliant.

Who owns the converted images?

You retain 100% ownership of your original images and converted vectors. VectoSolve claims zero rights to your content. Your files are never used for AI training, marketing, or any other purpose. Full commercial rights included with every conversion.
